GRAMMY NOMINATED, SINGER, SONGWRITER ERIC ROBERSON TO PERFORM AT THE AUSTIN AREA JAZZ FESTIVAL CONCERT SERIES

AUSTIN, TX (February 15, 2017) - The Austin Area Jazz Festival, (AAJF) is pleased to announce their first event of 2017. Friday, March 31, 2017, Grammy Nominated, Singer, Songwriter & Producer, Eric Roberson (“Erro”) will take the AAJF stage at the Millennium Youth Entertainment Complex, 1156 Hargrave Street, Austin, TX. Doors open at 9:00 and show starts at 10:30 PM.

Eric Roberson, graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC, is an outstanding music storyteller. He has written for and worked with the likes of DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Vivian Green, Carl Thomas and more. His music is influenced by elements of music styles varying from Soul, Rhythm & Blues, House, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Rock and more.

This is the 2nd year that AAJF has held an event during Texas Relays Weekend. Last year, Anthony David performed to a sold out crowd of dedicated AAJF "fans" from the Austin area, including Killeen and San Antonio. “We are pleased to offer the East Austin community and those visiting Austin during Texas Relay weekend an evening with one of the most talked about Indie artists” says Event Producer, Mark A. Terry.

The Austin Area Jazz Festival is a celebration of music, culture, diversity and the arts and provides opportunities to experience jazz through year round music performances, cultural activities, and community events.

All AAJF events benefit the East Austin Music Academy, a program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas. BGCSCT is a public, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in San Marcos, Texas. EAMA is a program designed to facilitate after school and summer music education and fine arts instruction for elementary students and performance opportunities, music business and music media training to middle school and high school students.
